Student terms and conditions

These terms and conditions apply to all programs offered by Satisana. You should read these documents carefully before you submit your application to any of our study programs

Terms and conditions of your application

You must read, understand, and agree with the statement prior to submitting your application.

Statement

  1. I confirm that I am intentionally applying and want to be considered for a course at Satisana. If I am under 18 years of age, I have obtained my parent/guardian permission to submit this application.

  2. I warrant that the information I have entered in the Application, or provided in support of my application, is correct and complete. Should I notice a mistake, I will contact Satisana as soon as possible to correct the information.

  3. I agree that Satisana may contact me using the details I have provided in the Application to request outstanding or additional requirements, request outstanding or additional information, and/or to inform me of the progress of my application.

  4. I acknowledge that the provision of incomplete information or the withholding or non-provision of information relating to my application (e.g. supporting documents such as academic transcripts or test results, identity documents such as passport details) may result in the Satisana refusing to assess my application, withdrawing a course offer or cancelling my enrolment.

  5. I understand that practical classes will be held in Mexico, and I am responsible for my immigration status during the duration of the program.

  6. I understand that for students studying acupuncture, it is my responsibility to meet the relevant requirements for licensing if required to practice acupuncture or Chinese medicine in the country of my choice.

  7. I declare that I am medically and physically fit to undertake full time studies.

  8. I agree to submit all additional supporting documentation together with this application

Satisana Student Contract

The Contract is formed when you accept the Satisana’s offer of a place on a program (whether taught or research based, on site or distance/online learning).

Qualifications / accreditation

1S.1. If your course leads to a diploma or accreditation, you may also be subject to regulations relating to your conduct required by the relevant professional regulation body (such as fitness to practise for students in the acupuncture program). It is a condition of these Terms and Conditions that you follow such regulations in respect of your program.

1S.2. For students in the acupuncture program, Satisana will provide the highest training and a Diploma at the completion of the entire program. It is the sole responsibility of the student to register with the relevant authorities to obtain a  license when required to practice acupuncture. 

Conditions of admission

2S.1 Your progression on your program and your final diploma are not guaranteed and are dependent upon your academic performance and a completion of the entire program course, both theory and practicals.

Program provision

Satisana shall use reasonable endeavours to:

3S.1. deliver your programme with reasonable care and skill and as far as possible, in accordance with the description in the relevant course modules.

3S.2. clearly explain the academic requirements of your program to you.

3S.3. You must use all efforts to fulfil all the academic requirements of your program including submission of course work and other assignments and attendance at practical classes, examinations and other required events on time.

Liability

4S.1. While the Satisana takes reasonable care to ensure the safety and security of its students while on its premises and/or whilst using tits services, Satisana cannot accept responsibility, and expressly excludes liability, for loss or damage to your personal property (including computer equipment and software). You are advised to insure your property against theft and other risks.

4S.2 Satisana shall not be held responsible for any injury to you (financial or otherwise), or for any damage to your property, caused by another student, or by any person who is not an employee or authorised representative of Satisana.

4S.3 Satisana is not responsible for services provided by student study clubs. These clubs are independent of Satisana and Satisana is not responsible for the acts or omissions of those clubs.

4S.4 Satisana will not be liable to you for any failure to carry out, or delay in carrying out, any of our obligations under the Contract where that delay or failure is caused by events beyond Satisana's reasonable control including acts of God, war, terrorism, cyber-attacks, industrial disputes, fire, adverse weather, pandemics, epidemics or disruption resulting from pandemics or epidemics, and national emergencies. In such circumstances, Satisana will take reasonable and proportionate steps to minimise any adverse impact on you.

5S.5 Subject to Clause 6S.6, Satisana’s liability to you under the Contract or otherwise in connection with your experience as a student Satisana (whether arising in contract, delict or any other way) shall not exceed the total amount of the tuition fees paid or payable by you, or on your behalf by a sponsoring authority, to Satisana in relation to your program.

6S.6 Satisana does not exclude or limit in any way its liability to you where it would be unlawful to do so. This includes liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence or the negligence of our employees, agents or subcontractors, or for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation.

7S.7 The provisions of this Clause "S" shall continue to apply after termination or expiry of this Contract.
